To foster resilient and thriving communities by equipping vulnerable young people and their households with the skills, resources, and opportunities to achieve sustainable economic transformation, independence and holistic well-being

Our Goal

Most beneficiaries are: Out of school adolescents, Young Girls and Women, widows and elderly.

ACYP is deeply committed to fostering sustainable livelihoods and empowering out-of-school adolescents and young women within the community. Recognizing the transformative power of skills development, we have established a robust community-based apprenticeship program that provides practical, on-the-job training in a diverse range of artisanal trades. These include: tailoring, hairdressing, carpentry, moto mechanic, welding and metal work, bakery, shoe making, art and craft, jewelry making, building and construction

What are our reports about?

1) Skilling and Apprenticeship

ACYP aims to equip vulnerable families with the resources and skills necessary to establish sustainable livelihoods, improve their overall well-being, and create a more secure future for their children. Therefore, we empower them by fostering economic independence and resilience through enabling access to start-up capital, booster funds, essential materials for income-generating activities, and comprehensive entrepreneurship training.

2) Start-Up and Entrepreneurship

By providing targeted support to ventures such as market stalls, piggery, poultry farming, street vendors, hawkers, food kiosks, craft shops, bakeries, and mobile money agents, ACYP aims to enhance their operational efficiency, increase profitability, and foster sustainable income generation. This, in turn, will improve the livelihoods and overall well-being of these families and create more stable environments for their children and youth.

3) Boosting Business and Enterprise

By promoting participation in Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs) and providing essential business skills training, ACYP equips families with the tools and knowledge to build their own capital and manage their finances effectively. Ultimately, this initiative seeks to bridge the gap between these families and formal microfinance institutions, enabling them to access the financial services needed to establish and grow sustainable livelihoods, thereby improving their economic well-being and creating brighter futures for their children.
